MJ Taylor

MJ Taylor is a master’s candidate studying Global Environmental Policy and Asian Studies at the Pardee School of Global Studies. MJ is interested in comparative climate policy, with special emphasis on climate change mitigation efforts in major Chinese cities. Their current research explores how municipal development goals and national grand strategy can be harnessed to bolster local food security, reduce flood risk, and create accessible green spaces in Shanghai. MJ is also the Graduate Academic Administrator for the Department of Chemistry and oversees dozens of wonderful PhD students. Outside of BU, MJ can be found gardening, reading mystery novels, and watching Star Trek with their partner and two cats, Charlie and Ophelia.
