Earth & Environment
Kate Bartlett is a PhD student in the Department of Earth and Environment interested in how chemical and meteorological processes influence atmospheric composition and urban air quality. She graduated from the University of Michigan in 2024 with a BSE in Climate and Space Sciences and Engineering and a minor in Computer Science. Her research at the University of Michigan involved using satellite measurements to improve our understanding of the contribution of various biological and anthropogenic sources to atmospheric NO2. At Boston University, Kate’s research focuses on validating and improving the effectiveness of satellite trace gas monitoring for urban air quality assessment.
