Evan Kuras (he/him) brings to life to vision of the National Science Foundation Research Traineeship (NRT) Program: to develop and implement a bold, new, and transformative model for STEM graduate education training. Evan organizes workshops, facilitates internships, curates program resources, manages internal program monitoring and evaluation, mentors NRT trainees, and leads the BU URBAN Internship Course. Through BU URBAN, Evan seeks to foster a generation of STEM experts that are more diverse, solutions-oriented, and motivated by environmental and social justice.
Prior to BU, Evan’s research portfolio spanned the topics of personal heat exposure, urban biodiversity, socioeconomic inequality, and environmental education; his current consulting work focuses on program evaluation for environmental and health education organizations. He is a BU alumn and and holds a M.S. in Environmental Conservation from UMass Amherst.
