Heather Ho

Program Manager

Heather Ho (she/her/hers), MSW, joined BU URBAN as Program Manager in October of 2022. She is a firm believer of URBAN’s vision of empowering graduate students to advance environmental justice and to co-construct solutions to pressing urban environmental challenges through interdisciplinary approaches and partnerships with the government, NGOs, and the private sector. Her passions include engaging in activism to promote social justice, supporting students, developing solutions-oriented partnerships, and promoting equity, inclusion, access, and belonging in higher education and local communities. She takes part in community organizing in her hometown of Randolph, Massachusetts, and is a co-chair and co-founder of the Randolph Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Coalition. Prior to joining BU URBAN, Heather worked in youth prevention programming and gender-based violence prevention and survivor advocacy. She is completing Boston University’s dual MSW/MPH Program. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her cat Henry, amateur gardening, and going on adventures in the great outdoors. An avid traveler, she has visited over 60 countries!
