Emma Conrad-Rooney

Biology

Emma Conrad-Rooney is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Biology. She is interested in the effects of urbanization and climate change on forest carbon sequestration. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Wellesley College with a major in Biological Sciences and a minor in Environmental Studies. For her senior honors thesis, she studied interactions between forest nitrogen cycling and invasive caterpillar defoliation. In her free time, she enjoys running, playing the mandolin, and crocheting.
