Environmental Health

Elle Thompson (she/her) is a Ph.D. student in the Environmental Health department. She received her Bachelor’s in Biology and Environmental Studies from Middlebury College and completed her M.S. in Climate and Health from Boston University. Elle’s previous research has focused on the impacts of extreme heat on maternal-newborn health in Uttar Pradesh, India, and the effects of internal persistent organic pollutant exposure on cardiovascular outcomes in bariatric surgery patients. Elle is interested in the human health impacts of climate change, particularly in the context of air pollution and extreme heat in urban areas. In her free time, Elle enjoys running, spending time outdoors, and reading.
