  • Education Northeastern University, B.S.

Dillon Scott is a Bioinformatics PhD student in the Segrè lab at Boston University. Originally from a small town in Pennsylvania, he fell in love with Boston while studying computer science and biology at Northeastern University. He discovered his passion for research while developing computational methods for spatial transcriptomics analysis at a Boston-area startup. He is interested in modeling and engineering microbial community interactions, especially examining how mechanistic and machine learning-based models can be used cooperatively. Outside of research, you can find Dillon keeping up-to-date on pop culture, swimming at FitRec, and testing the limits of a Bluebikes membership.
