Environmental Health
Caroline Sarpy is a PhD student in the Department of Environmental Health. She is interested in the role of extreme weather on human health, particularly human development over the life course. She is also interested in how environmental exposures interact simultaneously as a mixture and how this affects health outcomes. Caroline received her Bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University with a major in Global Health and a minor in French, and her Master’s of Science in Environmental and Occupational Epidemiology from Harvard School of Public Health. Before coming to BU, she worked as a research assistant at Boston Children’s Hospital investigating the effect of extreme temperatures and air pollution on pediatric health in Bangladesh. In her free time, she likes to go on picnics with friends and explore local Little Free Libraries.
