Asha Thapa is a PhD student in the Department of Biology at Boston University. She was born and raised in a hilly region of Nepal. She did her undergraduate degree in agriculture science from Tribhuvan University, and she completed her master’s degree in biology from the University of Louisiana at Monroe, USA. She has research interests in understanding plant-microbe-environment interactions, with a focus on how plant-microbe relationships respond to abiotic stress conditions at the molecular level. In her spare time, she likes to do outdoor sports, hiking, and playing chess.
