Mobility, Open Space, and Climate Justice: Advancing Climate Projects in the Consulting Context

Project Summary: 

Responding to climate change requires the insights, talents, and collaboration of diverse groups. Effort is needed to organize and meaningfully include all of these different inputs for efficient actions.

Laura partnered with MXM Research Group on three projects to support the consulting firm and its partners in this effort on multiple topics related to climate justice. She coded information and used GIS to integrate spatial and organizational regions for a project seeking to understand collaborations in the mobility justice space. Laura also collated information from multiple evaluation perspectives to create surveys for a project on land use decisions and wellness. She also created a training presentation for thoughtful development of climate justice efforts within the consulting context.

While learning about the dynamic work of a consulting firm, Laura gained inspiration from MXM’s Data + Soul initiative to support the organization and its partners in applying these principles to projects in the climate change and justice realms.

Project Deliverables:

Laura’s created multiple internal deliverables for MXM and its partners. These included GIS maps, surveys, and an internal presentation on climate justice, for which a redacted, public version is also available.
