As part of the Graduate Program in Urban Biogeoscience and Environmental Health, trainees complete course work that provides a foundation in Biogeoscience, Environmental Health, and Statistics across topics that span air, water, and climate.

URBAN Ph.D. students are required to take the Colloquium (2 credits) and the Internship course (0-4 credits), which are listed below.

Colloquium

CAS BI/EE 764 or SPH EH 799: Colloquium in Urban Biogeoscience and Environmental Health
This course is required for Ph.D. trainees and optional for master’s trainees.

Internship Course

CDS DS 795: Urban Biogeoscience and Environmental Health: From Research to Policy
This course is required for Ph.D. trainees and master’s trainees in the URBAN Internship Track.

Interdisciplinary Coursework

URBAN Ph.D. students and master’s students in the URBAN Coursework Track are additionally required to take one course in Biogeoscience (4 credits), one course in Environmental Health (4 credits), and one course in Statistics (4 credits).
