URBAN Annual Symposium – Spring 2025
Please join us on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, for the BU URBAN Annual Symposium. The event will be from 1:00 to 4:00pm, in room CDS 1101 at 665 Commonwealth Ave.
This year’s symposium is being planned and led primarily by our graduate students and will highlight their research and experiences.
The event will feature student research and internship talks, with topics ranging from scalable ecosystem modeling to psychiatric emergency service utilization during extreme heat events; as well as a student internship panel, and an alumni career panel. There will even be a photo contest!
Photo Contest Guidelines:
We would like to invite all URBAN students, faculty, and staff to submit an original photo (that you took) to be considered in our URBAN Annual Symposium Photo Contest. The only stipulation is that it is an original photo and not AI generated. It can be related to your research or not! It can be urban or environmental or not! We want to display the creativity of our community and hopefully share some beautiful images during the event.
Voting for the photo contest will take place at the URBAN Annual Symposium on May 14, 2025, from 1-4pm (665 Commonwealth Ave, 1101), and the winner will be announced before the event is over (there will be a prize!).
Please submit photos titled, “2025URBANPhotoContest_LastName-FirstName” to urban@bu.edu by May 1, 2025, to be considered.
