Unavailability of Computing Accounts Tool
On the weekend of September 15, 2023, IS&T will be implementing our SIS Renewal –Identity Lifecycle Management project. This IAM project will replace our current legacy system for BU account creation (BU Login, Webaccount) and the provisioning and deprovisioning of birthright privileges such as email, VPN, and wireless. During the Production implementation, the account creation process will not be available starting at 4pm on Friday, September 15, 2023, until 1pm on Saturday, September 16, 2023. The following message will appear when you use the Computing Accounts Tool: “The application Faculty/Staff is unavailable from 4pm on Friday, 09/15/2023 until 1pm on Saturday, 09/16/2023 due to scheduled maintenance, we apologize for any inconvenience.”
In anticipation of this change, we are also asking Computing Accounts tool users to hold off sending any new account creation invitations starting the morning of Thursday, September 14, 2023. When we go live on Saturday, the link to claim your account will change, which will make any invitation request PINs that have not been claimed unusable.
