We offer clinical, management, and leadership programs that prepare school nurses and health professionals to:

        • serve as school health leaders;
        • provide equitable care;
        • build effective student health services systems;
        • earn continuing education credits that fulfill state licensure and certification requirements.

        A program of the Boston University School of Public Health, SHIELD is funded by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. We partner with the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, Barry M. Manuel Center for Continuing Education to deliver continuing education credits that fulfill state licensure and certification requirements.
