BU Law’s Annual Halloween Party is not to be missed. It’s time to put on your craziest costumes and dance the night away with friends! This beloved BU Law tradition is always a sold-out affair!

You can submit whatever song you want!* Just know that we will be reviewing these responses, so your request is not automatically set to play as soon as you submit it. Deadline to submit your song requests is October 24 @ 5:00pm.

Royale Entry Policies: 

You will need a physical, valid US Driver’s license or valid passport to enter. No ID cards. A photo copy of any of the ID forms will not be accepted. This events is 21+. 

Please Do NOT show up drunk. Please do NOT get out of Uber’s/Lyfts/busses/taxi’s etc. with any alcoholic or non – alcoholic containers. NO open containers or consuming nips inside (they will check for hidden nips at entry).
There will be a bag/jacket check upon entry and a quick pat down.
Smoking/vaping is not permitted anywhere inside the venue. The venue retains the right to ask you to leave if found violating regulations.
PLEASE abide by all Royale Entry Policies as we do not want to turn anyone away for this special celebration however we do have policies that must be adhered to. Admission is at the sole discretion of venue management.

Ticket Options

SGA will NOT refund your ticket | Aged 21+

Student Ticket: Each student is able to purchase ONE (1) student ticket on their own behalf.

  • Regular Ticket: $30
  • Ticket + 2 Drink Tickets: $35

Guest Ticket: Each student is able to purchase ONE (1) guest ticket on behalf of a non-BU Law person.

  • Regular Ticket: $35
  • Ticket + 2 Drink Tickets: $40

Additional Information:

Suggested Attire: It’s time to dress up! Wear your favorite solo, duo, or group costume. Bring your creativity but please be mindful of your outfit and use common sense when choosing what to wear. Please refrain from wearing cultural attire. SGA and the BU Law administration reserves the right to deny entry based on inappropriate or offensive attire.

Costume Contest: SGA will host a costume contest at 11:00pm.

Please fill out this ONE (1) question form if you are INTERESTED in participating in the costume contest. This does not mean you have to participate. We need to estimate the number of contestants.

Alcohol Drinks: Cash Bar – price range is $12 – $14. Please drink responsibly and adequately prepare to drink alcohol by eating food before the event and drinking water.

  • Soft Drinks: Free and unlimited

Food: Light food and small burritos. Dinner will NOT be provided. Please eat ahead of time and/or make arrangements for food after the event.

 

Information Sent in Reminder Email

If you are planning on attending HalLAWeen please read this in its entirety. There is important information that you need to know in order to successfully check-in and have a great time. 

Attending the HalLAWeen at Royale means that you agree to all of the rules and regulations set for by the school and Royale. Remember that you are a guest. We want everyone to have a great time, but keep in mind the consequences of your actions can have serious repercussions, such as denotations on the Character & Fitness portion of your bar applications.

Attendees are responsible for their own transportation to and from Royale.

Directions from BU Law Tower using public transportation:

  • Take the B train from BU Central to Boylston. Walk 0.2 miles.
  • Walk 0.4 miles to the green line at Saint Mary’s Street. Take the C train to Boylston. Walk 0.2 miles.
  • Walk 0.4 miles to the green line at Fenway. Take the D train to Boylston. Walk 0.2 miles.

Arrival Instructions 

Failure to follow these instructions may result in you being unable to check-in. 

SGA will NOT refund tickets.

  • Check-In STARTS at 9:00pm
  • Check-In ENDS at 10:30pm
    • You must be checked in PRIOR TO 10:30pm. If you are late arriving at the venue, you will be unable to attend the event. SGA will not refund your ticket. 
    • Check-in ends promptly at 10:30pm. We encourage you to get there early. You will be able to use your drink tickets upon arrival.
  • If you are visibly intoxicated upon arrival, you will NOT be allowed to check-in.
    • Decisions are made by security and are final.
  • You will NOT be allowed to re-enter.

ATTIRE

  • The winner will receive a gift sponsored by Lexis. Lexis is giving one gift card. If you are part of a group costume, it is the group’s responsibility to determine how to split the gift.

What You NEED to Bring  – Failure to bring any of these items may result in you being unable to check-in. SGA will NOT refund tickets.

    • Valid Identification – This event is Age 21+. You will not be allowed to check-in without valid identification
      • Drivers License
      • Passport
  • Non-Original Documents will NOT be accepted (Photos, scans, etc…)
  • Eventbrite Tickets
    • EventBrite Confirmation Email with QR code
      • If you do not have this you will need both your Valid Identification AND BU ID
  • If you purchased a STUDENT TICKET
    • Bring your BU ID
  • If you are a GUEST
    • You may need to provide the name of the BU Law student who purchased your ticket

What You Should Avoid Bringing

    • If possible, do not bring a bag. Usually small bags and purses are allowed through security, but it may be a hassle to keep track of these bags throughout the night. 
    • There is a free coat check.
    • SGA/BU is not liable for anything that is lost or damaged at Royale.
    • SGA is not in charge of security.
      • If security refuses you entry due to an item that you bring (including but not limited to a bag or a jacket), please let us know. However, you will be unable to enter with those items.
    • Bring items at your own risk
  • You should be allowed to bring medically necessary items. If you have concerns about an item that you need to bring for your health, please email imaraj@bu.edu. We will provide advanced notice to the venue. Your inquiry will remain confidential.

When HalLAWeen is over, security requires you to exit the venue (after claiming your checked items) and vicinity immediately.
