We were pleased to participate in the 2026 American Physical Therapy Association Combined Sections Meeting (APTA CSM) in Anaheim, California. It was a great opportunity to present our research and connect with researchers and clinicians dedicated to advancing rehabilitation science.
We had a wonderful time at the 2026 American Heart Association International Stroke Conference (AHA ISC) in New Orleans, Louisiana. Our team was excited to share ongoing work and to connect with colleagues and collaborators from around the world.
NRL PhD student Jie Fei has been awarded a two-year American Heart Association (AHA) Predoctoral Fellowship for the project “Empowering Recovery at Home: A Gamified Neurostimulation Platform for Post-Stroke Neuromotor Assessment and Training.”

NRL members celebrated the 2025 National Biomechanics Day (NBD) at Boston University with students from the BU Upward Bound Math Science program. Jie and Ashlyn gave a presentation on Biomechanics in Neuro-rehabilitation Research and hosted a fun Biomechanics-themed Jeopardy game. It was a great day of learning and inspiration!
