The NEPHTC Education Team is a group of instructional designers and technologists who manage the NEPHTC learning management system, develop trainings, and post your courses and trainings for the public health workforce. If you or your expert are working with us to develop a webinar or training, you may be asked to provide information so we can create the webinar/course page on “moodle” at nephtc.org. To provide that information, we have found that submitting the information in one word document (you may share it via email or any sharing platform) allows for an efficient transfer of information. Putting together the webinar/course page information can take 2-4 hours depending primarily on factors such as approval among collaborators, or the approval for using a photo. Please do not hesitate to submit a course page with temporary photos or missing a minor detail. This allows the Education team to create the registration page, which can be improved prior to marketing. Questions? NEPHTC evaluates all trainings fully funded by NEPHTC for effectiveness. At a minimum, satisfaction and knowledge gain (Kirkpatrick Training Evaluation Model Levels 1 and 2) are evaluated. Where possible, behavior change (Kirkpatrick Level 3) is also evaluated. Although we believe our training ultimately has an impact on health outcomes via the actions of the trainees, NEPHTC does not yet attempt to evaluate this because of the challenge of controlling for the number other factors affecting health outcomes. For guidance on writing pre- post- knowledge gain questions, please download the Pre- Post- Question Writing Guidance document here. For NEPHTC’s standard evaluation template, please download the document here. Two samples of recently used evaluations can be downloaded here. Public health training participants greatly appreciate when a training offers CE. NEPHTC is pleased to offer CHES for most of its trainings and has a well-defined process for obtaining CHES and maintaining CHES records. NEPHTC collaborates with partners to offer other CE.
