WHO: ASM New England is holding ONE Materials Experience event in 2024 and it will be held at Boston University. This is a free, one-day program for high school students to explore and learn about materials science and engineering.
WHAT: What do MSE grad students do? You support the ASM team leads in modules such as cryogenics, shape memory alloys, metal forming, microscopy, 3D printing and more! The ASM members are materials professionals from the local chapters; they prepare the modules so you just have to show up and can help guide the high school students.
Coffee and a light breakfast will be provided at 7:30AM, as well as a boxed lunch. And you usually get a free event t-shirt.

WHERE: The event will be held at 8 Saint Mary’s Street, PHO Colloquium Room 9th Floor & EPIC.
WHY: This is a key community outreach activity of the Division of Materials Science & Engineering AND you get to meet materials scientists from the area.
