Welcome to the BU Materials Science & Engineering Graduate Student Association (MSE-GSA)! We are a graduate student group that provides professional development, networking, and social events for any BU students interested in materials science and engineering.

Boston University’s MSE-GSA builds a stronger sense of community for materials researchers and students at BU through a variety of events.

Each year, we host exclusive networking events that give students the opportunity to meet and connect with alumni and professionals working in materials-related fields. Throughout the year, we also organize social events that help students build connections not only within their own cohorts, but across departments and research areas.

We maintain close relationships with our parent organizations, the Materials Research Society (MRS) and ASM International, and regularly collaborate with them through events and professional development opportunities.

BU’s MSE-GSA is also proud to have received ASM International’s Materials Advantage Chapter of Excellence Award three times to date!
