The Multimedia Communications Laboratory (MCL) at Boston University focuses on topics in pervasive computing. Our legacy work is in the area of distributed multimedia information systems emphasizing time-dependent and continuous media data such as audio and video. Recent work targets wireless networking and communications to support ambient computing in indoor (smart rooms) and outdoor (vehicles) contexts. The Laboratory is directed by Prof. Thomas DC Little.
