Litz Lab

The Litz Lab is directed by Dr. Brett Litz. Dr. Litz is a Professor of Psychological and Brain Sciences at Boston University and a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Boston University School of Medicine. He also directs the mental health core of the Massachusetts Veterans Epidemiological Research and Information Center at the VA Boston Healthcare System. Broadly, the Litz Lab focuses on research in the following domains: psychotherapies for loss, moral injury, and PTSD; the development, prevalence, and functional impact of moral injury; and measurement-based care and practice-based advances in the study of PTSD. The lab is also currently working on a program evaluation of Veterans Hub at the CTF-Soledad State Prison, a therapeutic community that allows incarcerated Veterans to be self-governing within their own yard.
