The How and Why
The Whole Selves Project is a community-engaged research project exploring how trans/nonbinary young adults (ages 18-30) navigate romantic relationships and alcohol use. To date, the project has produced a new tool for measuring transgender/nonbinary identity support from romantic partners and used that tool as part of a nine-week study of romantic relationships, mental health, and alcohol use among 300 trans/nonbinary young adults. We're now working with community members to develop and test resources to help young adults reflect on their goals and priorities for romantic relationships and alcohol use.
