Elle Neunzig, MPH

Research Fellow

Elle (she/her) is a social and behavioral health researcher interested in community-based health initiatives, substance use, and the impact of structural stigma on the health and wellbeing of the LGBTQ+ community. Before joining the HEY! Lab, she received her MPH in Social and Behavioral Sciences from the Yale School of Public Health, where she investigated social, behavioral, and psychological LGBTQ+ community connectedness as potential protective factors against structural stigma. She also holds her BA in Sociology and Gender Studies from Mount Holyoke College, where she utilized qualitative methods to explore the relationship between substance use and perceptions of community belonging among LGBTQ+ individuals. In every part of her life, she is passionate about building community and finding opportunities for queer joy. In her free time, Elle can be found collecting too many rocks, scouring thrift stores, and making niche themed playlists.
