Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) Symposium (10 am–2 pm)
Join more than 240 undergraduate students as they present their summer research projects in an interactive poster session. Between the Bylines (11 am–5 pm)
“At its core, the exhibition Between the Bylines investigates one crucial issue – that of absence. It looks at who gets represented in the newspaper and how that representation takes shape. It takes as its medium one that is disappearing. The featured artists undertake interventions into newspapers by concealing, obstructing, redacting, or disguising elements of the medium to highlight this representation (or lack of it). This invites the audience to contemplate issues of subjectivity, trust, and control in press coverage.” Location: Faye G., Jo, and James Stone Gallery, 855 Commonwealth Avenue. The Boston Printmakers 2026 North American Print Biennial (11 am–5 pm)
“The exhibit features a broad array of contemporary prints and artists books, spanning traditional to contemporary/integrated media approaches, with both emerging and established artists from across North America. The exhibition includes examples of etching, lithography, woodcut, linocut, screenprint, digital printmaking and dimensional works, in which the artists explore a rich diversity of conceptual and narrative content.” Location: Fuller Building, 808 Commonwealth Avenue. BU Stress ReLeaf Tea Workshop (12–2 pm)
Come experience one of Student Wellbeing’s most popular programs that uses tea as a catalyst for mindfulness. BU Choral Concert (2 pm)
Experience an inspiring afternoon of choral music as Boston University’s University Choruses, Chamber Choir, and treble and tenor-bass ensembles present a vibrant program in the CFA Concert Hall. The Allegrettos (3-3:30 pm)
The Allegrettos are Boston University’s all-gender a cappella group. They sing a variety of genres including alternative-pop, gospel, r&b, and pop. Founded in 1994, the group records music and competes in competitions such as the ICCAs. “Fusing spoken text, voice and a wide variety of theatrical movement approaches with embodied images inspired by the acclaimed anthology, Seeing Jazz created from the Smithsonian Institution, Living Jazz takes place in an abandoned Dance Hall/Jazz Club where the spirits of the afterlife are impressionably present and reconvene to re-activate physical stories/vignettes and remembrances of not only how their former life moved them but how the elements of jazz—rhythm, improvisation, and call and response– exist within their livelihood.” Location: Joan & Edgar Booth Theatre, 820 Commonwealth Avenue. Join fellow Terriers for this community service opportunity at nearby Hall’s Pond Sanctuary, steps away from BU’s South Campus neighborhood! We’ll clean and prep the park for Fall/Winter, as well as do some light planting/gardening. Family-friendly activities. Live music. No experience necessary!
