Project REACH
Welcome to Project REACH (Readiness to Enhance Autonomy in the Community and Home)! We are learning how adults with Down syndrome experience autonomy and make daily life choices. We also want to hear your thoughts on a new program we are developing to support adults with Down syndrome to maximize their personal autonomy.
Who can participate?
- Adults with Down syndrome who:
- Are 22 years or older
- Live with a family member or a legal guardian
- Are 22 years or older
- Parents/guardians of an adult with Down syndrome (aged 22 or older)
- Service providers with professional experience serving adults with Down syndrome and/or their families
Note: Participants must be fluent in either English OR Spanish. We are currently seeking families who live in Massachusetts and service providers who work in Massachusetts.
What will I do?
- Fill out a brief survey about you and your background (5-10 minutes)
- Participate in a one-time interview (between 30-60 minutes), either online or in-person
Here is a video about what the interview for adults with Down syndrome may look like:
Will I receive payment for participating?
Yes! Participants will receive a $50 gift card for completing the interview and brief survey
