Sema is a first year doctoral student in the Department of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics. She graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB) with a Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology and Pharmacology in 2015. While at UCSB, she worked in Dr. Karen Szumlinski’s Behavioral and Neural Genetics Laboratory examining stress alcohol interactions and the motivational properties of methamphetamine addiction. Currently Sema is rotating with Dr. Camron Bryant, examining the neurobiological basis of binge eating.
