Sophia Regazzini
Vice President
Sophia Regazzini serves as vice president for the Urban Planning Association. She’s currently pursuing an MS in City Planning with an anticipated graduation date of August 2027 and holds a BFA in Architecture from Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Originally from Reading, Massachusetts, she’s proud to call the Greater Boston area home and grateful to work for such a vibrant community. Sophia currently works as a Research Assistant focusing on the impacts of the City of Lowell’s Lowell Innovation Network Corridor (LINC) project.
In the summer of 2026, Sophia was a fellow at the Lab @ MassDOT in the civic innovation space, working on small-scale “experiments” that could scale into statewide transportation programs. Her past work includes community engagement, urban planning-related archival research, gallery curation, and architectural design. She hopes to continue bringing a community-centered lens to planning throughout her career.
During her free time, Sophia can be found playing her guitar, working on various arts and crafts, or exploring the city with her friends. She loves to travel, especially to cities, and her current dream destination is Switzerland.
