Matthew Houck
Officer at Large
Matthew is pursuing a MS in City Planning with an anticipated graduation date of May 2028, and holds a BA in Environmental Design and a BA in African American Studies with a minor in Architecture from the University at Buffalo.
Matthew is currently a Community Engagement Manager Intern in the City of Boston’s Planning Department, where he talks all day and supports planning initiatives such as the Allston Brighton Community Plan, Neighborhood Housing, the Planning Academy, and the High School Summer Internship Program. Outside of work and school, you can find Matthew playing soccer in the South End or JP; but working community engagement, you can really find him just about anywhere. He also enjoys hosting events for people to connect, adventuring into places he shouldn’t be, and is working on creating an Urban Planning Card Game.
