Geisel Dieguez
Officer at Large
Geisel Dieguez serves as an officer at large for the Urban Planning Association. He’s currently pursuing an MS in Urban Affairs with an anticipated graduation date of May 2028 and holds two bachelor’s degrees from Florida International University. Originally from Miami, Florida, he’s still adjusting to the cold, but keeping warm with plenty of clam chowder. Geisel currently works as an Administrative Analyst for the City of Boston’s Assessing Department – part of a team responsible for updating valuation data for properties across the city.
Before moving to Boston in the summer of 2025, Geisel worked in Membership Development for the American Welding Society. His past work also includes public programs development, logistics coordination, and community fundraising across civic and cultural institutions back in his hometown.
During his free time, Geisel can be found out on the Common, riding up and down on the T, or at home working on a new embroidery. He loves to cook and often tries to replicate his go-to dishes from some of his favorite restaurants. His next mission: replicate the Gai Grob Pad Thai from Giggling Rice.
