Caroline DeMarco
Officer at Large
Caroline DeMarco is an Officer at Large of the Urban Planning Association and a third-year Master’s student in Boston University’s Master’s of City Planning program, where her studies focus on transportation. Most recently, she completed a six-month co-op at MassDOT where she was lead writer on the Special Commission Report on Micromobility. She holds a bachelor’s in Computer Science from Northwestern University, where she researched interface design and video game development.
Before pursuing her master’s, Caroline was a technology and user experience consultant at Microsoft and worked with clients across more than a dozen industries to adapt to ever-changing demands on their technological infrastructure and design new, business-leading software. She left the tech world in 2024 to pursue her passion for community-focused infrastructure and accessible mobility. She lives in Brookline with her two cats, and in her free time, she volunteers at the Cat Connection in Brighton as a facility manager and fosters orphaned kittens.
