#BUCPUA Students and UPA Members participate in Toyota Next Generation Mobility Challenge

On Saturday, February 4th 2017, students from the City Planning and Urban Affairs Program and UPA Officers participated in the Next Generation Mobility Challenge at Boston University organized by Net Impact in partnership with Toyota and the Toyota Mobility Foundation. With the advice from Toyota’s experts and #BUCPUA faculty Yesim Sungu-Eryilmaz, PhD and Terrance J. Regan, MPA, participants gathered in multi-disciplinary teams to design mobility solutions to promote equity and opportunity for vulnerable social groups.

UPA Officers Alejandro Delgado and Luis Quintanilla were part of the winning team, proposing a smart device to help elder population to navigate easier when using public transportation and to connect them to people with similar interests and destinations. Congratulations to all participants! We hope to see you in upcoming planning-related workshops and events.
