Angie Acquatella is an Assistant Professor at Toulouse School of Economics. Previously, she was a Postdoctoral Associate at TPRI. Her research studies provider payment contracts and, more broadly, optimal contracting with altruistic agents. There are two main themes to her research: the first is to evaluate the efficiency of provider payment contracts and explain why these look so different across services, insurers, and countries. The second is to provide guidance for practitioners and inform reforms that increase the efficiency of the overall health care system. Angie received her doctorate in Economics in Economics from Harvard University. During her doctoral studies she was affiliated with the NBER Aging group as a Fellow, as well as the National Science Foundation. For more information, see her personal website.
