Annual Symposium

1st Imaging Symposium

Boston University and Brigham & Women’s Hospital are hosting an imaging symposium on Friday, June 10 from 12-5:30 pm on the BU Campus in the Trustee’s Ballroom.  Faculty will present on current and exciting research in the areas of novel imaging strategies, image-guided interventions, and the development of analytical tools for processing large biomedical imaging data sets.  The imaging symposium will feature a series of brief talks in each of the three primary areas by leaders in the respective areas, with the goal of raising awareness and stimulating new collaborations.  Most importantly, there will be plenty of time for networking over lunch, coffee breaks and closing reception.  There will also be an overview of the Advanced Multimodality Image-Guided Operating (AMIGO) Suite, the first of its kind in the world, and the National Center for Image-Guided Therapy (NCIGT), a resource that has been instrumental in the development of breakthrough image-guided interventions currently in use clinically.

Keynote talk by Dr. James C. Gee, the Director of Penn Image Computing and Science Laboratory at the University of Pennsylvania.

There is no registration fee, but an RSVP to Jennifer Marron (jmarron@bu.edu) is required by Friday, June 3.  She will then provide you detailed logistical information and a copy of the agenda.

Sincerely,

Tyrone Porter, Ph.D.

Program Director, Training Program in Imaging and Image-Guided Interventions (TI3)
