Work With Us
PhD Applicants
The BUSPH Department of Community Health Sciences is recruiting its first cohort of PhD students for Fall 2026! The CHS PhD program web site has more details about the program and application process. To keep the process equitable, CHS faculty are not meeting one-on-one with prospective students until the interview stage. However, if you are applying to the program, and Dr. Murchison and the T4T Team sound like a good match for your research interests, please highlight that in your application!
Student/Trainee Projects, Fellowships, and Dissertations
Dr. Murchison may be available as a mentor or committee member for course, thesis, or fellowship projects (for BU students) or dissertations (BU or elsewhere), depending on the timing and research topic. It may be possible for students/trainees to analyze T4T Team data, such as survey data from the Whole Selves Project, for these projects. Feel free to reach out to Dr. Murchison by email (grmurch@bu.edu) to discuss your plans, including as much detail as possible (e.g., a link to the project or fellowship requirements).
For earlier-stage trainees (e.g., undergraduates, most Master’s students), structured projects like those discussed above are the best vehicle for research mentorship, so Dr. Murchison kindly requests that you have one in mind when contacting them about possible mentorship. Later-stage trainees (e.g., postdocs, doctoral students) are welcome to reach out about more general collaboration possibilities.
Jobs
The T4T Team is not currently hiring, but current Boston University graduate students are welcome to send a resume or CV to Dr. Murchison (grmurch@bu.edu) to express interest in future openings. Openings for those who are not current BU students will be posted here when available. You may also want to keep an eye on job openings with the Healthy and Empowered Youth! Lab, the T4T Team’s parent lab.
