Service to the Profession and Community

Professor Straub has played a number of leadership roles at the university and national level. He served as Chair of the Theoretical Subdivision of the Physical Chemistry Division of the American Chemical Society, Chair of the Department of Chemistry at Boston University (2007-2012), President of the Telluride Science Research Center (2006-2008), located in Telluride, Colorado, and Board Member of the Pinhead Institute (2009-2014), which promotes science outreach in Southwestern Colorado. Currently, he is an Associate Editor of The Journal of Chemical Physics.
