Minority Connection Initiative Member Interest Form
The External Outreach Committee for the Boston University Minority Connection Initiative (MCI) is looking for members. Their mission is to promote the collaboration of clubs and organizations by enhancing the relationship between faculty, undergraduates, and graduates of color. They are currently in the process of recruiting new members for the Spring semester and expanding thrit reach with a general body.
Here is a brief overview of the committee teams’ responsibilities:
- Outreach: The Outreach committee maintains records of undergraduate and graduate organizations and BU’s minority faculty members. The team prepares and responds to all correspondence in order to streamline communication across the BU campus and promote events.
- Public Relations: The Public Relations (PR) committee manages MCI’s brand, producing content for weekly or biweekly postings for events and campaigns on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and GroupMe.
- Events: The Events committee manages all tasks related to event planning such as the submission and evaluation of event proposals, creation of “Event Programmatic Breakdowns,” and general facilitation of MCI hosted events.
Their first general body meeting of the Spring semester will be on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 6:00 pm. This is an opportunity for students to learn more about our organization and how they can get involved.
