Samantha Hutchinson (she/her) is a Ph.D. student in School Psychology at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she works with Dr. Erin Dowdy. She earned her B.A. in Psychology from Skidmore College in 2020. Her research examines school-based mental health and interdisciplinary collaboration to improve the implementation of evidence-based practices that promote the social, emotional, and mental health of diverse students. Samantha is currently completing her predoctoral internship at Harvard Medical School/The Baker Center for Children and Families. Her clinical training includes evidence-based interventions with children, adolescents, and families in both school and outpatient settings, as well as psychoeducational and neuropsychological assessment. She is a certified Parent-Child Interaction Therapist (PCIT), is completing her PCIT Within-Agency Trainer Certification, and has training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), the Summer Treatment Program (STP), and the Modular Approach to Therapy for Children with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, or Conduct Problems (MATCH-ADTC). As a Project TEAMS Scholar, she is committed to advancing interdisciplinary research and implementation efforts that improve access to high-quality, evidence-based mental health services for diverse youth.
