The Pardee Atlas Journal of Global Affairs seeks to foster dynamic conversations on global affairs by both publishing interesting student work and allowing students to be involved in the editorial process. This includes reviewing papers for publication, recording podcast episodes, and hosting our annual graduate research conference.
We are looking for additional Pardee graduate students to support The Atlas’s mission. All team members are responsible for ensuring the quality of material submitted to The Pardee Atlas, promoting Atlas publications, and maintaining the integrity of the organization.

Editorial Staff
Responsibilities:
- Help decide whether individual submissions are accepted for revision and publication.
- Edit accepted pieces (including policy papers, research papers, and any other written work) to make them the best they can be.
- Collaborate with the rest of the editing team to ensure that feedback is swift and publication progresses swiftly.
- Help with other miscellaneous tasks as needed.
To be considered for the editorial team, you must be detail-oriented, thorough, and have excellent knowledge of the conventions of written American English.
To apply, you must submit a one-page sample of your recent writing, which will be judged for flow, clarity, and style.
Conference Team
Responsibilities:
- Help plan the yearly Spring conference!
- Coordinate with the Conference Chair and Editor-in-Chief for outreach to universities around the Boston area (BU, Harvard, Tufts, Northeastern, etc).
- Manage conference-related communications.
- Maintain relationships with stakeholders within and outside of BU.
- Review abstracts and conference applications.
- Help with other miscellaneous tasks as needed.
Podcast Team
The podcast team is dynamic and flexible. Different students may contribute according to their unique skillset. Some general responsibilities may include:
- Serving as the interviewer and podcast host, featured on most or all episodes (this role is selected by the Editor-in-Chief).
- Arranging interviews with Pardee students or faculty.
- Preparing questions or general scripts for each podcast episode.
- Recording, editing, mixing, and mastering the audio for each episode.
- Helping with other miscellaneous tasks as needed.
