After obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in translation & interpretation in Belgium, I specialized in the field of Linguistics and Foreign Language Acquisition and pursued my graduate studies in Anthropology as a Fulbright scholar at Boston University. In the U.S., I have taught at Brown University and at the College of the Holy Cross. I joined Boston University in 2006 and am a Senior Lecturer in the department of Romance Studies. I am the founder of BU’s French club, the Association Francophone of BU. I served as the Faculty advisor for the Center for Gender, Sexuality and Activism for 5 years. I have embarked on several Alternative Spring Break volunteer missions with the BU Center for Community Service. I was appointed twice at BU Paris and once at BU Madrid to teach on site. Currently, I am one of the 20 Faculty-in-Residence on the Boston campus, where I cultivate interdisciplinary, innovative and meaningful interactions with students with whom I live.
