I am a civil engineer; executive director of RILES, a nonprofit concerned with public health and the environment; the senior science advisor at Just Zero, a national nonprofit advancing community-centered Zero Waste solutions; co-founder and trustee of the Ecological Health Network; and a contributing editor at Barn Raising Media. I am also the mother of three children. I played ultimate frisbee, basketball, and flag football for many years in Boston. Now I mostly bike: mountain, gravel, and road. I have been an adjunct professor at BUSPH since 2002 and deeply value the connections I have made with students and the opportunity to teach and learn at BU.

Contact Dr. Orlando for academic support, research support, career support, student life, coming out, mentoring, and general networking.
