Julia serves as the Director of Advising, Relationship Management and Career Equity in the BUSPH Career and Practicum Office where she supports students interested in careers in community health. In addition she is the advisor for the Queer Alliance where she is an advocate for trans inclusivity and belonging at BU. Before BUSPH, Julia had a 15 year career in community health at organizations including Fenway Health and Massachusetts Department of Public Health. As a white, queer, cisgender woman, Julia is committed to using a racial equity lens in all of her work. In her personal life, Julia is the Vice Chair of the Board of YW Boston and is an advocate in Brookline for Racial Justice and Equity. Julia is married to Megan Lanham and they have two teenage daughters, Eva and Tessa. Julia welcomes connection from students, staff and faculty for support and/or advocacy around LGBTQ+ inclusion and belonging as well as racial equity at BU and beyond.
