I’m a first generation student, from the American South. My research field is the history of birth control and sex education in the United States, and I teach WR 120 (“Sex, Love, and Family”) and WR 150 (“Let’s Talk About Sex: A History of American Sex Education”). Other research interests include asexuality, polyamory, and the intersections of fanfiction and sexuality. Prior to graduate school, I was a development officer for Planned Parenthood and the ACLU. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, sewing, and hiking. I’m happy to provide support and advice for students interested in similar research topics, career support, and/or general networking.
