Just another baby-faced 39-year-old (yes really) neurodivergent artsy white queer from Western Mass. I’ve been working in higher ed as some kind of admin staff or other for 15+ years, although I took up the marketing & communications role in my department in 2021 to actually utilize some of my creative training and background in the context of my day job. I’m also a cartoonist and illustrator, an avid birder, and a big old nerd in general.

I came out (as bisexual) for the first time when I was 16, but it’s been a long road to the identity and self-affirmation I inhabit now, and still not without its challenges. Being out at work, especially with regard to my gender–or lack thereof, preferably!–and pronouns is something I’ve tackled for the first time at BU, and I’m grateful for the support and resources I’ve been able to access here. Like literally anywhere else, however, we have a ways to go. Let’s support each other through it as best we can, yeah?
