Queer Alliance – School of Public Health
The Queer Alliance from the School of Public Health showcases the diversity of the students, faculty, and staff at the medical campus and joins the network of many other lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and asexual (LGBTQIA+) organizations within the Boston University system and the surrounding community. The primary goal of the Queer Alliance is to provide a safe, supportive environment for LGBTQIA+ students, faculty, and staff. We are here to educate future and current health professionals on the social issues and health concerns of the LGBTQIA+ community in order to break down prejudices and misconceptions that can undermine patient care and personal growth. We encourage professional and personal development through discussions, conferences, socials, community activism and advocacy.
