Beverly is a 4th year PhD student at Boston University in Laura Lewis’ Lab. She studies how the brain transitions between arousal states, such as sleep and wakefulness, using fast functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and simultaneous electroencephalography (EEG). Apart from research, she is actively involved in her department’s mentorship and outreach programs. She loves anything that lets her be creative! She enjoys art, fashion, interior design, and has more recently taken up roller-skating.
