Tuhina conducted literature reviews and developed an annotated bibliography on best practices for community engagement. Additionally, she reviewed and summarized past VDH documentation on community engagement with POC and other minorities; key informant interviews about current engagement processes, both within the Offices of Local Health and Central Office; and summarizing and documenting your findings.
Supported the planning and implementation of state’s health assessment plan by presenting information, maps, and data of health equity in Vermont.
Coordinated with work group members to translate current research, pilot project findings, and national best practice standards into competencies and training curriculum for health professionals located in primary care settings.
Developed an understanding of the major health care reform efforts in Vermont, created strategic communication campaigns, and established partnership with internal and external state agencies to foster cross-sector accountability.
Used GIS software to analyze access to care in Vermont based on drive time to any type of health care provider in the different Vermont counties.
