Nahren’s project will improve health equity by providing resources and support services through the Pride Center. The Pride Center Vermont provides these services for those that are LGBTQ+. This is a community that faces numerous barriers in accessing healthcare that directly impacts their health outcomes. The database that I will be working on improves access to care by cataloguing providers that are LGTBQ+ friendly. This acts as a valuable resource to those that are LGBTQ+ in finding providers that they can trust, con de, as well as feel safe with. Throughout the summer I will be updating this database to include telehealth and telemedicine services, which is essential
especially during this unknown me of COVID-19. This database will also indicate which providers are able to provide these services for their LGBTQ+ parents.
