The purpose of this Health Equity Project was to improve the quality of healthcare offered to LGBT and POC patients at OOH, especially for transgender and Latinx immigrant populations. Through the use of quality improvement surveys, Damian worked with Open Door clinic to create institutionalized practices and policies to provide better care for LGBT and POC patients in the city. Ultimately, this project hopes to create a framework/set of practices that can be replicated in other health facilities that wish to serve similar communities.
