Monique Terrell is a student from Rhode Island College pursuing a Master of Social work who interned with the Rhode Island Department of Health with a focus on Arts and Health. The outcomes from this work provided the Rhode Island Arts and Health Network with baseline information surrounding occurrence, prevalence, and the types of arts and art-therapy interventions that are currently being employed in the state. This information aided in developing priority areas for further development of services and the identification of gaps in services for future work as the field continues developing.
