Filmmaker, Actor, and Founder of IndianRaga

Sriram Emani is a filmmaker, actor, and the founder of IndianRaga, a global platform for South Asian performing arts that has reached over 500 million viewers through digital storytelling and performance, with work presented at the United Nations Headquarters, Lincoln Center, and TEDx. A graduate of MIT Sloan where he was a Siebel Scholar and an MIT Tata Fellow, his work explores migration, identity, systems of power, and the emotional consequences of assimilation and conditional belonging. His award-winning short film Jam Boy, currently being developed as a feature through Cine Qua Non and Stowe Story Labs, examines the modern echoes of colonial extraction through the lens of elite tech culture and the hidden psychological costs of striving for acceptance within systems not built for you.
