Director of Operations, Partakers

Jessi Brewer is a writer, educator, and prison abolitionist whose work bridges literary studies, nonprofit leadership, and community engagement. She is passionate about building transformative futures through storytelling, education, and collective action. She currently serves as Director of Operations and Administration at Partakers, a Massachusetts-based nonprofit dedicated to reducing recidivism by supporting formerly and currently incarcerated communities through mentorship and reentry initiatives. Her research explores the role of literature and narrative as tools for social impact, examining how storytelling and the literary imagination can challenge carceral logics, foster collective transformation, and help build abolitionist futures. Jessi also serves as a collaborator with the Brandeis Educational Justice Initiative, a facilitator for Changing Lives Through Literature, and when she is not reading/writing, is an avid birder.
